The 5 day onsite Dog Behaviour Training experience
The practical side to being a dog trainer in 5 days.

Many have paid $3k to $30k for courses that have left them still unable to work with many dogs, this has become so common now with all the online learning.
I have been asked several times by dog trainers and other people if they can shadow me while I work with dogs now you can come and live onsite for 5 days where you get to live the lifestyle 24/7
What a normal day looks like over those 5 days. 3 days also available
Day one; arrive Thursday morning, settle in and let’s start talking dog. This is where we talk about what level of handling skills you have and what do you want to get from your stay. In the afternoon we go out into the Pet Lodge and you get to be involved and see how the interaction happens. During dinner we talk about the day and what goals we have for the next day.
Day two to Day four; Each day you come out to the Pet Lodge 8am to 10.30am and watch and be involved in handling many different dogs, learning about how to handle different temperaments and personalities. We stop for a break then get into some dog behaviour training. We will over your stay work with several different dogs so you can learn how to change your training for the different temperaments.
Day five; Come out to the Pet Lodge and you will be given a few dogs to work with, get their focus and do some training, by now you have learnt to walk a new dog onlead without pulling within 3 to 5 mins, get that trusting focus so that dog wants to click into you without stress or treats. We go in for brunch about 11.30am and go over everything you have learnt.
Other things that happen when you stay for your dog training experience.
You will get to watch a dog training workshop – full dog training one on one lesson with a client – You will learn to recognize the behaviours of around 20 dogs per day. - You will train several dogs each day. You will get out of the experience as much as you want to.
All accommodation and meals are included. You can state what sort of food you eat so we have this available or we can go shopping together.
FAQs
Do I need my own dog? No, you can if you like however we have many dogs onsite.
Can I stay more than one time? Yes you will even get a 10% discount for more than one stay or added days. $270 per extra day after 5 days or next stay.
Do I have to help cleaning up after the dogs? Yes as that is all part of the full experience.
I have not done any dog behaviour training and not in the industry can I just come and stay and learn your methods? Yes
Do I Have to only use your system of dog training? I suggest that while you are here you have an open mind and learn the system I use and when you return you can use as much or as little of it as you like.
How many people are on the experience with me? We only have one or two people on the experience at any time.
Is this a full certified dog training course? No, this is a hands-on experience not a course.
The cost is inclusive of training, food and accommodation. $1,500 NZD a $250 non refundable deposit must be paid to hold your spot or 3 days $950.
